Hello Everyone,
We are pleased to announce the results of the first round our contest – “Your Message to the World”. Trust us, the judges had a hard time in differentiating between the excellent qualities of your essays, and as you will see in the calculations, the difference between the marks to all the essays remains almost negligible. But as it happens with every competition, we have to select only the top essays. But this should not demotivate you from participating in the future events – as we have learnt from your messages only about the power of positive thinking.
Please find below the names of the top 25 winning essays, and in case you want to know the calculations behind the results, as promised, we are attaching our calculations sheet (here) for transparency. Please note that the judges’ decisions are final, and we are confident about our calculations.
The top 25 essays are:
Congratulations to all the winners, and yes, to all the participants who made this contest a success! Without everyone of you, this contest would have been nothing!
Further instructions about the next steps, certificates and some of our judges’ comments will be emailed to you shortly.
We hope that you enjoyed participating in the contest, and it was a good experience. Please post a comment if you have any thoughts about the contest and if it has created a difference to your lives.
Thanks once again for your participation.
Team Opptunity!
Wow!!! Thank you!
Thank you so much… It feels great to be a part of something like this
Thank you so much for the “transparency”. It is so refreshing to be in a competition were the rules were clear and the judging to open and fair.
I’ve really enjoyed being a part of this and wish to tell ALL the participants that I enjoyed every single entry that I read. So much hope and passion – very inspiring!
Nice Result , Congratulations to you Bhagya Senaratne , And thanks to all judges specially the Opptunity Team .
Thank you so much for considering my message as a message to the world! I am honoured!
Participating in this Contest was a heartening experience4me!
But calling this a ‘Contest’ is bit unfair, I guess!
‘Unfair’ because, I did not see the spirit of any kind of competition (which generally is Hallmark of Contests) among the contestants. In fact it felt like every entry was focused on 1 goal (to bring some good to the World). It was so good2see that! For that, every1, right from the Organizers to the Participants should be congratulated (for holding on to the noble spirit of World-Unity throughout).
Personally, participating in this1 brought me a great deal of re-assurance about the existence of the ‘Nobel-Brigade’ world-over (of which I was not so hopeful earlier).
And of course! CONGRATULATIONS to all those who made it to TOP-25.
Must say, Losing never felt so good! In fact, the moment I read some of the entries (b4 results) I saw my ouster (4m TOP-25) coming. Great Judging-standards! 3 cheers to Judges, as well.
well, i love the transparency and the Tiago Feedback. In his feedback, he made great comments on my piece; ART.my poem did not make it to top 25. i would like to know if the the feedback is a general commentary on all the poems and essays submitted for the contest; Tiago’s commentary or the top 25 poems selected. If so, why am i not in the top 25 result.
my poem goes by the title “ART”.
thank you and hope to hear from you soon.
alright, i think i understand it now. its just a feed back from Tiago. Thank you Tiago for the feedback.. well appreciated.
